Our client, Microbix is looking for a strong communicator committed to Customer satisfaction who can coordinate our sales order fulfillment process. We require an organized and detail oriented worker whose job will include: handling Customer inquiries, processing orders with complex shipping requirements, and ensuring Customer's receive their orders on time. A successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring Microbix' Customers' needs are fulfilled to their expectations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Run the Order Desk with a keen attention to detail, including:
    • Order acceptance and entry into processing software
    • Management of Inventory and backorder log
    • Shipping preparation including all necessary documentation
    • Customer communication of Invoices, shipping information, etc.
  • Prompt, effective response to (and logging of) Customer/ potential Customer inquiries, order status, etc.
  • Problem resolution to meet order requirements and urgent deadlines
  • Continually expand product knowledge to meet Customer informational needs
  • Communicate timely and effectively with Couriers specific to Customer to ensure prompt delivery
  • Resolve shipping issues (I.e. Delays, Customs) while ensuring product integrity is maintained
  • Process client payments and monitor client status, contacting clients for payment as needed
  • Build a knowledge of special requirements of key Customers, products, and destination countries and ensure these are followed for each order
  • Monitor stock levels and work with Production Department and Quality Departments to meet shipment deadlines on special ordered and/or back ordered products
  • File and maintain necessary spreadsheets as required
  • Special projects as assigned by Supervisor

 

Experience:

  • Two year's experience in a fast paced customer service environment using order management software
  • Undergraduate Degree or College Diploma (preferably in Biology or a related field)
  • Experience in Sales Support is an asset
  • Experience in a Biology or Life Sciences workplace is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Medical Diagnostics or Biotechnology is an asset

 

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook (e-mail)
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to prioritize/ re-prioritize as required
