Our client, WellOne Medical Centre, has two openings for part time Medical Office Assistants who have experience in a busy multi-physician medical clinic. You have the ability to work in a professional manner in a fast paced environment.


This Medical Office Assistant - part time role will ensure that the patient interface runs smoothly and is responsive to the inevitable urgent requirements that arise in a medical clinic. The positions will cover shifts for morning and afternoon periods.

The Medical Office Assistant shall report to the General Manager.



Key Accountabilities


This is a very busy Medical Clinic and the role has the

Responsibility to support full time staff for a high volume of administrative work with typical daily activities of:

  • Processing over 150 incoming faxes daily;
  • Scanning and filing over 100 documents
  • Email correspondence with patients;
  • Handling Online bookings;
  • Managing busy phone lines;
  • Front Desk reception and appointment making;
  • Other tasks, as required




Diploma:  Medical Receptionist, Medical Administration or related diploma preferred


Must Haves for the Right Candidate:

  • a minimum of 2 years of medical office experience in a busy walk in clinic or a multi-disciplinary setting
  • strong working EMR experience (Accuro an asset)
  • experience with a fully computerized office seting
  • flexible & able to work the 2 shifts


Demonstrated ability to:

  • juggle multiple priorities and maintain flow
  • take initiative when observe the need to resolve issues
  • make common sense decisions
  • Deal with a fast paced work environment where accuracy is fundamental


Strong typing skills accurate in a high volume of inquiries and data entry
